What we’ve been up to behind the scenes
Behind the Scenes of the MyMusicStudio.app development
It’s been a busy couple of days behind the scenes here at My Music Studio, and I’m genuinely excited to share a little of what’s happening — especially if you're a music teacher looking for better, smarter, and more enjoyable ways to run your studio and instrumental lessons.
Here’s a sneak peek at what we’ve been working on — and why it’s going to matter for you.
A Fresh Take on Music Games: The Memory Match Tool
Teaching music theory or instrument recognition to younger students? We’re building a flexible Memory Match Game that teachers can quickly and easily add into their lesson notes, based on what they’ve been doing in that lesson: think Instruments, Composers, Symbols, or even Note Names.
• Select a category and auto-generate a quick interactive game
• Great for solo practice
• Fun, simple, and connected to the lesson you just ran
It’s built to just work — with minimal setup, maximum engagement, and full control for educators.
Teacher Tools that Actually Help
Alongside our games, we’ve been fine-tuning the teacher admin side of things. Some highlights:
• Smart lesson scheduling with an intuitive calendar view
• Bulk actions in student lists, like emailing all parents or students in one click
• A clean, clutter-free interface with thoughtful UX tweaks like quick-select buttons, compact lists, and faster editing flows
The goal? Reduce your admin time so you can teach more and stress less.
Connecting Your Tools Seamlessly
This week, we’ve also tackled some of the trickier backend challenges:
• Improved how accounts connect across tools (like your lesson notes and scheduling)
• Better handling of user identity (so teachers can actually see the students they’re supposed to see!)
• Smarter, more flexible logic in how tools work together — paving the way for things like automated onboarding, timely reminders, and personalized setup flows
All of this is about removing friction for teachers and students — and making it ridiculously easy to use everything the platform offers.
Why This Matters
If you’ve ever wished your studio or classroom ran a bit more smoothly…
If you’ve ever juggled five apps just to schedule a student and take notes…
If you’ve ever wanted your admin to feel as fun and intuitive as your teaching…
Then this is for you.
We’re not building generic school software. We’re building purpose-built tools for music teachers, designed by someone who’s walked in your shoes.
And we’re just getting started.
🔜 What’s Next?
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be:
• Launching a Studio Audit Tool to help teachers identify pain points and areas to improve
• Expanding the game and resource library with more categories and interactive tools
• Rolling out a public preview of the lesson notes interface, so teachers can see how easy it will be to take and share lesson notes.

Thanks for being part of this journey. I truly believe teaching music should feel as inspiring behind the scenes as it does in the lesson — and we're building the tools to make that happen.
Stay tuned,
